Rockflow Backdrop
The calcite rockflow backdrop of the Pirin Moh arch was constructed on an angled platform with individually carved foam pieces that were attached with additional expanding spray foam applied over the grouping of carved pieces. Detail carving was then done in layers to achieve the flowing effect and the entire piece was installed behind the arch. Final details were finished by the plasterers and scenic painters with the panel mounted upright inside the archway. The visual effects team added the appropriate lighting from above, and added dripping water during final filming of the scene.
Most of the foam carving on the rockflow backdrop was done by Spencer Kane of ARKANE ARTS STUDIO
